101

Life 101 is an intensive 4- week, 120 hour course offered by the Motorsport Mentoring Network, designed to prepare participants for long-term success both on and off the track.

Week 1: Life and Financial Foundations

The first week focuses on essential life skills that create stability and independence, including:

How to open and manage a bank account
Personal money management and budgeting
Introduction to entrepreneurship
Understanding investments and planning for the future
Practical life skills needed for personal and professional success

This foundation ensures participants are equipped with the financial knowledge and decision-making skills needed to move forward with confidence

Weeks 2-4: Hands-On Mentorship and Workforce Experience

The final three weeks place participants in a real-world mentoring environment with a local automotive professional. During this phase, participants will:

Gain hands-on automotive and motorsports related experience
Learn real-life workplace expectations and professional conduct
Develop job-ready technical and soft skills
Build relationships with industry professionals

This mentorship model bridges the gap between classroom learning and real-world employment.
